The 1st Digital-Social Design Interface Conference: Talk. Think. Design.

The 1st Digital-Social Design Interface Conference was a pioneer conference in the Philippines that focused on social design using various digital media. It brought together in one forum different stakeholders from design and social advocacy fields to jointly create innovative multimedia campaigns and applications to help bring attention and proactive solutions to social and community issues.

The conference was organized by the School of Design and Arts of the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde and Knowledge Community with the support of Pru Life U.K., Intel Philippines, Canon Philippines, Felta Multimedia and the British Council.Over 250 students, faculty, design professionals and NGO workers participated in the conference.

Next Generation of Teachers Symposium: Trends, Tools and Training (2013)

The symposium provided a venue for different education stakeholders to discuss issues and share lessons on the effective integration of ICT in education and to explore further potential of ICT in raising standards of education through presentation of researches, programs and initiatives of various organizations and institutions, educators and other stakeholders. The event was held at the L’Fisher Hotel and University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod City from October 23 to 25, 2013. Participants included non-government organizations, education managers, pre-service and in-service teachers, education administrators, content developers and ICT service developers.

The conference was organized by Knowledge Community in partnership with the Colleges of Education of University of St. La Salle and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, Association of Colleges and Universities in Negros Occidental, Intel Philippines and UNESCO Bangkok.
